With unique microclay technology used by only Kılıçoğlu facilities in Turkey, a clay -the raw material of the tile- is prepared for production by grinding under 500 microns. In this way, tiles and roofs can be more durable.

According to TS EN-538 flexure strength test, as described in TS EN-1304 Standard about tiles, a tile should have 120 kgf flexural strength. Usually, this required number for the load on the roof is not enough. Many tiles can be broken even with the weight of the roofers. In fact, a durable tile with the proper support will never be broken or misshaped. Approximately, Kılıçoğlu Tiles are 2.5 times more powerful than EN-1304 European Tile Standard with its flexural strength up to 350 kgf

Waterproofing brings the comfort

Clay, the raw material of the tiles and obtained by the power of Microclay technology, can be denser and provides waterproofing to Kılıçoğlu tiles beyond the standards. Water on the roof should not be leaked through excellent tiles.

According to the waterproofing test in TS EN-1304 Standard about tiles, the Class I tile is a tile with 20+ hours water tightness. And Kılıçoğlu tiles have water tightness beyond Class I tiles.

A Lime-free surface

All raw clays in Turkey contain high amount of limes. By preventing the limes from approaching the surface, Microclay technology can provide both aesthetic shape and durability.
